Waterproof Cast

A waterproof cast is a step above a simple cast cover. Waterproof casts are made with traditional fiberglass casting tape, but they differ greatly by the padding materials that are used under the hard cast shell. This padding is waterproof or water-resistant and allows you to bathe, shower, and even swim all while in a cast.

The average cost of a water-resistant cast varies by the type or brand of materials used. For a short arm cast, a patient can expect a cost of $40-50 and for larger casts, the price will increase from there.

OrthoNeal is a thick fishnet shaped cylindrical stockinette comprised of waterproof materials. It's a one-piece easy slip-on design.
Delta Dry - Waterproof Cast
Delta dry is a two piece application with stockinette and then padding. The waterproof materials are similar to nylons in their texture.
AquaCast - Waterproof Cast
Aquacast uses a thin white padded pillow type waterproof material that comes in roll form and is applied to the patient's limb. Finished off with blue saw stop.
